Following the wishes of Mr. Barker, cremation services will take place. A Graveside Service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Bright presiding.

Floyd Wayne Barker, age 80, of Clarksburg, passed away on June 19, 2016, at River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg, following an extended.
He was born in Clarksburg, on November 15, 1935, a son of the late Bennie Barker Sr. and Ella Thayer Barker.
His wife, Violet Marie Bower Barker, whom he married on May 26 1956, preceded him in death on May 31, 2016.
Mr. Barker is survived by two sons, Gary Barker and his wife Marilynn of Sommersville, SC and Bruce Barker and his wife Beth of Clarksburg; and four grandchildren, Valerie Bower, Scott Bower and his wife Connie, Brian Barker and Rochelle Dupree. Also surviving are two sisters, Deena Phillips of Rocky Mount Virginia and Maggie Bowers of Clarksburg.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy, and was retired from Lockheed as a riveter.
Following the wishes of Mr. Barker, cremation services will take place. A Graveside Service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Bright presiding.
