Friends will be received at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Sunday, July 24, from12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m.   The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Murray presiding.   Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in West Milford.   Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.amoscarvelli.com A service of Amos Carvelli Funeral Home.

Freda B. Moore of Windsor Hills, Clarksburg, passed away on July 21, 2016.

She was born on May 24, 1929, in Preston County, WV, a daughter of the late Dailey and Ruth Mahaffey White.

Freda is survived by two sons and their wives, Jim and Beth Moore and Dan and Kathy Moore of Clarksburg; a daughter-in-law, Kitty Moore of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Michael Moore and wife Emily of Bridgeport, Patrick Moore of Bethesda, MD; and a brother, John White of Terra Alta.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks C. Moore; son, Bill Moore; and brother, Jim White.

Freda retired from the Harrison County Board of Education as a cook. She also worked for Huffman-Moore Construction Company as a bookkeeper and had worked for Hopemont Hospital in Preston County.

She enjoyed crocheting and had made and given away many beautiful centerpieces, one of which was given to the late Senator Robert C. Byrd. She was a former member of Spring Hill Chapel and sometimes played piano for their worship services. She was a faithful supporter of the Good Times Band in which her three sons and daughter-in-law played music. She was a wonderful cook and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jennifer Neely who was a kind and loving caregiver to Freda.
