Gary Philip Lynch, 70, of Mt. Clare passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV on December 15, 1946 a son of the late John Philip Lynch and Mabel Craig Lynch.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Murray Lynch who resides at their residence in Mt. Clare.

Also surviving are two sons, Rob Lynch and wife Tammy of Mt. Clare and John Lynch of Mt. Clare; one daughter, Lisa Lynch of Clarksburg, WV; six grandchildren, Madison, Mason and Jesse Lynch and Jessica, Olivia and Levi Swiger; two great grandchildren Ayden and Jaylyn Murphy; one sister, Brenda Wright and husband Richard of Chattanooga, TN; one aunt, Rebecca Lynch Richards of Clarksburg, WV; one uncle, Mark Lynch of St. Petersburg, FL and four brothers-in-law who were like brothers,  Bob Murray, Atlanta, GA, Konk Murray and wife Carol of Mt. Clare, WV, Jim Murray and wife Barbara of Mt. Clare, WV and Archie Wiseman of Clarksburg, WV.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Patty Wiseman.

He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic with the West Virginia Department of Highways with 30 years of service.

He loved hunting with his sons in Gilmer County and loved being called “Pappy”. The Lost Creek Department of Highways fellow workers were very close to him and good buddies.
