Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chad Metz and Pastor Charles Madaus.   Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Georgia Grace Hitt, 78, of Lost Creek, passed away at 7:12 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born March 22, 1940, in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late George Wilcox and Genevieve Greenleaf Wilcox.

 

She is survived by three children, Rocky Hitt and wife Mary Ann of Lost Creek, Ricky Hitt and wife Michele of Duck Creek, and Joyce Hyde and husband Pat of Talmo, GA; 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Stephanie, and Dustin Hitt all of Lost Creek, Samantha Hitt of Stonewood, Desiree Davis and husband Jerry of Fairmont, Brittany Hitt of Clarksburg, Melissa Robinson and husband Adam, Jimmy Hyde and wife Megan, and Shelley Hyde all of GA; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Seckman, Bonita Hitt and Shirley Wilcox; five brothers, Grendal, Melvin, Marvin, Roy, and George Wilcox.

 

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Roscoe Hitt, one son, Billy Hitt, four brothers, Gordon Wilcox, Golden Wilcox, Gerald Wilcox, and Roger Wilcox; and one sister, Mildred Roberts.

 

Georgia enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the United Evangelistic Mission Church.  She took care of others and was the most selfless person there was.  God received our angel, and she will be missed forever.
