Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home with the Reverend Sherman Goodwin and Pastor Sharon Dietze presiding. Interment will follow at the Good Hope Masonic Cemetery.

Guy Edison Casey, 87, of Stonewood passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the River Oaks Nursing Facility.

He was born in Lost Creek, WV on May 29, 1929 a son of the late Alva Casey and Laura Riffee Casey.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean Satterfield Casey who he married on September 18, 1955 and resides at their home in Stonewood and one son, Charles Casey of Stonewood.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Burton, Haymond and Nathan Casey and one sister Ruby Layfield.

Guy was a 1948 graduate of Lost Creek High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Republic Fence Co. for 8 years, Pittsburgh Plate Class for 11 years, National Auto for 5 years, W.T. Grant Co. for 5 years and retired after 15 years with the City of Stonewood as a street worker. He was a lifetime member Clarksburg Moose Lodge 52 for 60 years, West Virginia Horseshoe Pitchers Association for 30 years, WVHPA Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Stonewood Horseshoe Pitchers Association for 32 years. He also played softball, basketball for many years and was an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was a member of the Stonewall United Methodist Church since 1955.
