Helen P. Raymond, age 95, formerly of Clarksburg, WV, passed away peacefully at her home in Cary, N.C. on January 17, 2024.  As her health declined Helen was living in Cary N.C to be near her daughters.

Helen was born in Clarksburg, WV on February 4, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Mary Oliverio Paris.

She graduated from Victory High School in 1946.  Helen married the love of her life, Dominic J. Raymond of Clarksburg, WV.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Dominic J. Raymond and her six siblings.

Helen is survived by her children Dominic “Donny” (Kathy) Raymond II of Morgantown, Tammy (Allen) Moore of Cary, NC, and Jackie (Shannon) Lewis of Cary, N.C;  her grandchildren Brandon (Ellery) Moore,  Logan (Nicki) Moore, Angela (Payam) Heiraty, Anna Raymond, Morgan (Russell) Turner, Dominic Raymond III, and Paris Lewis. Her first great-grandchild is due to be born any day now.  Tammy’s daughter Morgan (and Russell) will be the proud parents.

Helen was a valued volunteer at United Hospital Center for 25 years.  She was also a long-time member of Catholic Daughters and the Clarksburg Serra Club.  Helen was a member of Immaculate Conception church where she was a regular at daily mass and a vocalist in the funeral choir.

Helen was very active and healthy in her later years.  When asked (which was quite often) how she does it, her answer was always the same, “KEEP MOVING” and faith in God.  She will be sadly missed by all of us who loved her.
