Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Don Skidmore officiating.   Interment will be in the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jesse James Johnson, 20, of Lost Creek, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Clarksburg on February 27, 1997, a son of Chauncey Norman Johnson, II, and April Marie Shuman Evans and her husband Brian.

 

In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is also survived by one daughter, Peyton Johnson; four brothers, Chauncey Johnson, III, T.R. Evans, Eli Evans, and Dustin Evans; one sister, Bobbie Jo Johnson; maternal grandmother, Joyce Shuman; paternal grandmother, Shirley McVicker; and maternal great grandparents, Bill and Mary Lou Randolph and Louise Jones. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, J. B. Shuman; paternal grandfather, Chauncey Johnson; and step grandparents, Deloris and Terry Evans.

 

Jesse attended South Harrison High School and was a musician and song writer. He attended Horizons Church. He loved writing music, playing his guitar and performing, fishing, and spending time with his daughter. Jesse was very strong in his faith and loved the Lord.
