Tom and family - we are so very sorry to hear of Jill's passing. Our hearts are broken. We are sending hugs and prayers to each and all family members.

we will always remember the day that Eddie and Emily were married in Nutter Fort twenty five years ago. It was a beautiful wedding and we met so many nice relatives and friends of the Ruziskas. We gained a lovely daughter and two very special friends in Jill and Tom. We treasure the fact that Jill and Tom were so kind and accepting of our son into their close-knit family. We are so thankful for the times that we shared together as friends and grandparents of Samuel, Thomas and Isabelle. We are truly saddened by the shortened friendship of a remarkably talented lady.

Dear Tom and all of the Ruziska family: I was saddened to hear of Jill’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult period. Jill was the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew this fine lady. The lives she touched in her teaching and coaching career are to many to count. God bless and watch over this fine family.

Well written obituary. ‘To know her was to love her” The Ruziska family took me in when I was at WVU in the mid 80s. I spent many weekends sleeping on the floor with others. Everyone was welcomed. It always felt like family. Jill would always make lasagna and Tom waffles in the morning. Beautiful people with warm hearts for young people trying to find their way. Having my family far away I was even a guest for Thanksgiving dinner. These are moments that you can never repay, only try to be the same person Jill and Tom were to me. Jill had a wonderful energy. Seemed to always have a smile and was the first one to laugh. I wish I would have stayed in better touch throughout the years.

Jill and I became friends in fourth grade when her family moved close to mine in Nutter Fort. I could write a book of the adventures we shared over the years, sharing love and friendship along the way! Jill was the kind of friend where you could just pick right up where you left off and the enjoyment continued. I know how much she loved her family and friends and lived life to the fullest, too! My last visit with Jill and Tom was at their new home in Bridgeport where she was comfortable and happy with Tom taking wonderful care of her. Rest in peace, my dear friend!

She was an amazing lady and she is very special to me! Thank you for the opportunity to care for her, Jill was a huge part of my life for the last year and a half and was always so very kind to me. Always checking on me and making sure I didn’t need anything, she will be missed so very much and i loved her very much also! You all did so very much for her and cared for her more than you will ever really realize, you were her heart. Thank you again for allowing me the privilege of caring for your mother!
