Joanne Ruth Post, 78 years young, of Clarksburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the United Hospital Center Hospice center.

Joanne was born in Clarksburg, WV, on July 2, 1946, daughter of the late Glen W. and Eleanor R. Jackson Cowgill.

She was also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Dallas Post, who passed on March 23, 2006. They were wed in 1989.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Stonestreet and her significant other Andy Cain of Clarksburg, stepsons, Daniel Post and wife Deborah of Bridgeport, Lenny Minnick of OH; stepdaughters, Sherry Post of Walkersville, WV, Peggy Goodwin and husband Mike of Baltimore, MD, and Brenda Minnick; grandchildren, Jordan Stonestreet and wife Layla, Michael Stonestreet Jr., Megan, Allen, Marcus, Jeremy and wife Sarah, Sherry Post and Ryan Post-Overton, Daniel, Deborah, Max, Shaylin and Mitchell Haines; brother, Glen Cowgill Jr. and wife Nuntarath; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stonestreet; “favorite” aunt, Nancy Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Michael G. Stonestreet and brother, John Thomas Cowgill.

Joanne dedicated her career to caring for others and was a Registered Nurse at United Hospital Center until 1988 where she worked at the VA Medical Center until 1990 and finished her career at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was a true Christian who loved to talk about Jesus, read her Bible, and watch church sermons on tv. She attended Stonewall United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed shopping on the QVC channel and giving her purchases to her friends as presents. She will be remembered as being very generous.
