Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm where Catholic Burial Rites will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:00 am with Father Walt Jagela presiding. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

John A. “Cannonball” Imperial, 72, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at his residence.
He was born in Clarksburg on September 12, 1952, a son of the late Samuel J. and Sara R. Romano Imperial.
John is survived by two sons, John A. Imperial, II and wife Cathy of Bridgeport, and Brett J. Imperial and wife Ashley of Mooresville, NC; three grandsons, Alex, Derek, and Laken Imperial; one brother, Sam Imperial and partner Cheri Hershman of Clarksburg; the mothers of his children, Sharon Skoloski and Vicki Hite-Harper; Joshua Vanhorn and Daniel Hayhurst who were like sons to him; his beloved feline companion, Big Ninja; as well as numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his infant brother, Paul Samuel Imperial; and his dog, Buster.
John was a 1970 graduate of Notre Dame High School where he was affectionately known by his classmates as “Impy”. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State College.
John worked as a car salesman for many years at Country Club Chrysler as well as Dick Morgan Buick. In addition, he was a personal trainer for Nautilus, Fitness Authority, and The Workout Company and later ran the Corporate Wellness Program for Pratt & Whitney.
John was an avid car and fitness enthusiast until his final days and regularly attended car shows and auctions. He enjoyed his mornings with his breakfast buddies, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandsons.
