John “Bub” Jorgensen, Jr. 46, of Clarksburg went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2017 with his family by his side.

He was born July 3, 1970 in Clarksburg to Jeanie Boyce Jorgensen and John Jorgensen, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wellington Lester Boyce and Marjorie Maude Maxson Boyce and his paternal grandparents, Sylvia Blanche McNurlen Jorgensen and Lillian Ermenia McNurlen Phillips and Fred Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, John Jorgensen, III and Rebecca Jean Jorgensen, both of Clarksburg and one sister, Lorie Jorgensen Brown and husband Shawn of Flatwoods. He is also survived by his best friend since kindergarten, Dennis Mazza, II and his furry companions, Angel and Molly.  Finally, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was an avid sports fan and loved the Mountaineers, Steelers and Penguins. If you knew Bub, he was never serious about anything.  He hated the Pitt Panthers with a passion so he more than anyone would find it ironic that he died in a University of Pittsburgh Hospital.  He played football and track at Liberty High School.

He attended North View United Methodist Church since he was a child and knew the Lord as his Savior. He loved spending time with his camping buddy Angel at Big Bear Lake.  More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children who were the light of his life.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The service will be held at the funeral Home on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Reverend Kenny Kendall and Reverend Jim Burrough presiding.

Per his request, cremation will follow the service.
