Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Catholic Funeral Rites will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone presiding. Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.

John “Pappy” Lopez, 90, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center following an extended illness.

He was born in Perry Mines, WV on February 15, 1926 a son of the late William Lopez and Rose Scarcelli Lopez.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lucille D’Anselmi Lopez on June 11, 2016.

He is survived by three sisters, Thelma DeFazio, Kathern Paugh and Mary Ann Malcolm and husband Bill all of Stonewood, WV; three brothers-in-law, Karl D’Anselmi, Harry “Bud” D’Anselmi and Kenneth “Duke” D’Anselmi all of Clarksburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Lopez, Jimmy Lopez, and Louie Lopez ; four brothers-in-law, Lawrence D’Anselmi, David D’Anselmi, Bill DeFazio and Richard Paugh and one sister-in-law Carolyn Corley.

He was a packer for PPG Industries for over 30 years and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Catholic Funeral Rites will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone presiding.

Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
