Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.   Interment will be in the Little Rock Camp Cemetery.

Johnnie Jacoba Aileen Dupuis Owen Skinner 87 of Little Rock Camp passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with her grandson Matthew by her side.

 

Johnnie was born January 17th, 1930 to Mollie Eugenia Wheat Dupuis Holstein & Remi Thomas Dupuis in Colfax, Louisiana – Grant Parrish.

 

She had one full sister Marie Elizabeth Dupuis McCall who preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by the love of her life Walter L. Skinner whom she married December 29th, 1962.

 

Johnnie had 4 children- Pamela Jean Owen Rembert & husband John who both are predeceased; Kathy Owen Morgan & husband Ricky of Woodville, TX, Charmagne Vecchio and companion James Ayotte, Lumberport, WV, and Walter Skinner, II Lost Creek, WV.

 

She has 6 grandchildren Julie Rembert of Tomball TX. Matthew Wiseman and wife Amanda, Salem WV,  Sarah Vecchio Lumberport, WV,  Kevin Skinner and Remy Skinner of Clarksburg WV, and Victoria Frame and husband Larry of Little Birch, WV; and 7 great grandchildren.

 

Surviving siblings are Leonard Holstein and wife Lola of Missouri City, TX, Charles Eugene Holstein and wife Sissy of Dayton, TX, Marilyn Joyner and husband Charles of Scurry, TX, and Janet Wahrenberger and husband Stephen of Cypress, Tx.  She also had many other family members and friends that she cared for deeply.

 

Siblings preceding her in death are Harold Leonard “Mickey” Holstein and Richard Frederick “Freddie” Holstein, and also sisters Dixie Irene Meyer and Lois Louise Low.

 

She loved nature, birds, her front porch, fishing, being near the water and her family. Anyone that met her loved her and her sweet smile. Her kindness touched many lives in her lifetime. She enjoyed life and she lived a happy life. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and the friends she made along her way. She lived her life as she wanted to, proudly with her husband in Skinner Hollow. They had many adventures together and they were inseparable.
