Family and friends will be received at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort WV on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 PM. A Service will then begin at 5:00 PM with Pastor Paul Boyles presiding. Per Joseph’s request, cremation services will be held, and private burial will take place at a later date. Joseph Amos Westfall, age 45 of Clarksburg, departed this life Sunday, July 2nd 2023. He was born in Clarksburg on September 25, 1977.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Loretta June Dodd Westfall of Sun Valley.
Joseph also leaves behind two daughters, Haley Westfall of Clarksburg and Harlee Westfall of Wallace along with a “bonus” daughter Kylee Plaugher of Clarksburg. One sister, Amber Hess and her husband Charles of Clarksburg; His companion Misty Davis of Clarksburg; Nieces and nephews Crystal Bennett ( Ron Bennett ) of Clarksburg, Paul “Pj ” Barnett of Clarksburg and Jessica Stout ( Tyler Stout ) of Lost Creek. Great nephews and great nieces Bentley, Byron and Kaylynn Bennett of Clarksburg, Treavey and Waylon Stout of Lost Creek. Long time friend Stephanie Plaugher of Clarksburg. Several great aunts, great uncles and many cousins; Papaw Fred Flint of Quiet Dell and Nanny Dixie Dodd of Clarksburg.
Joseph was preceded in death by his Pappy Frank L Dodd, Nanny Joanne Flint (Dodd) Grandma Smith, Grandpa Virgil, Uncle Joe, Uncle Stevie and Brother-in-law Wayne Gorby.
Joseph graduated from Liberty High School. He was currently working for Central Supply Company.
He was very adventurous. He liked to camp, fish, take pictures, watch scary movies, hang out with his daughters and family, and he always loved taking on new challenges.
