Joseph Gregory “Greg” Stutler, 59, of Clay, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the residence of his daughter in Clarksburg following a 10 month illness.

 

He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 28, 1959, a son of Joseph A. “Jiggs” and Delores A. Kester Stutler of Clarksburg.

 

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Godfrey Stutler, whom he married on August 30, 1980; one son, Christopher Snow Stutler and his wife Brittany of Pullman, WV; one daughter, Michelle Dawn Klimas and her husband Graig of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Seth and Eric Klimas; one brother, Jody Stutler and his wife April of Clarksburg; his best friend, whom he considered his brother, Kevin Nutter and his wife Debbie of Clarksburg; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

 

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bret Stutler.

 

Greg was a 1977 graduate of South Harrison High School and Nashville Auto Diesel Mechanic School. He was a Mechanic and Welder with Precision Pipeline and had his crane operating license. He was a mechanic for 40 years, spending more than 20 years at Fola Coal. He was known to everyone for always lending a helping hand. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a former member of the NRA, and enjoyed farming with his dad. Greg was a patient, kind individual whose motto was “Never give up”. He was Baptist by faith.
