Obituaries

June J. Stewart Rowe, 92, of Craigmoor Community, passed away on April 19, 2017, at the United Hospital Center.

She was born in Philippi, WV, on June 22, 1924, a daughter of the late David C. Stewart and Arla D. Cox Stewart.

Her husband of 53 years, Dewey A. Rowe, preceded her in death on April 23, 2006.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by one daughter, Marsha A. Felton and husband Robert, Jr. of Lost Creek; one son, Dewey E. Rowe of Craigmoor; two sisters, Julia “Isabelle” Rollins of Bridgeport and Rose Ann McVicker and husband Jack of Southington, OH; one brother, Lindsey Stuart of Pleasanton, CA. Also surviving are three grandchildren, David Felton, Julie Rickmond and husband Neil and Brieanna LeBlond and husband Shane; two great grandchildren, Julian Oldaker and Lilah LeBlond; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gail “Bud” Stuart and Henson “Sam” Stuart; five sisters, Dottie Stout, Edith Dadisman, Wanda Dill, Irene Smith and Georgia Campbell.

Mrs. Rowe was a homemaker and attended Quiet Dell United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking and most of all spending time with her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Private services will be held by the family.
