Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.   The service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sherman Goodwin presiding.   Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Mt. Clare.

Kathryn Marlene “Kathy” Harold Romano, 65, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 23, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.

 

Kathy was born in Clarksburg, WV, on October 31, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Ray Harold and Shirley Cutright-Harold Lowe.

 

Kathy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Antonio R. Romano who resides at their home in Bridgeport.

 

She is also survived by her son, Antonio R. Romano II and his wife Shanna Marie Brewer Romano of Jacksonville, NC; and her daughter Charla Jo Williams and her husband Dennis of Okinawa, Japan. She was grandmother to three grandchildren, Dallas Marlene Romano, Antonia Marie Romano and Drake Ryan Williams. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Goff and her husband Marshall of Clarksburg.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Harold.

 

Kathy helped provide for her family by working various positions at local banks for over 30 years until forced to retire due to illness. Kathy was well known for her lively personality and always greeted everyone with a smile.  For 15 years, she fought cancer – her strength, courage, and determination were an inspiration to friends, family and others battling the debilitating disease.  She never lost her compassionate spirit for others despite her physical and emotional challenges. Her strong Christian faith was an inspiration to many.

The service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sherman Goodwin presiding.

 

Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Mt. Clare.
