Lela Furrold Odom, 58, of Anmoore, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 12, 1959, a daughter of the late Hansel Queen, and Mary Henning Long and her step-father Rodney Long who survive in Stonewood.
She was married to Michael Weaver Odom, who preceded her in death on July 12, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Odom of Anmoore, and Ronald Odom of Clarksburg; one daughter, Mary Odom of Anmoore; 13 grandchildren, Taylor Lambert, Alex Odom, Catherine Odom, Colin Odom, Lyra Odom, Noel Odom, Lela Odom, Roland Odom, Jr., Roger Odom, Rodney Goff, Christa McGary, Kiley McGary, and Chase McGary; one great grandchild; five sisters, Kathy Benkalowycz and her husband Roman of Grafton, OH, Cheryl Swiger of Parma, OH, Christa Burrows of Lost Creek, Michelle Queen and her companion Ernie Claypool of Stonewood, and Pamela Bailey of Stonewood; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her companion Johnny Hayhurst.
Lela worked at the United Summit Center for Skills Division, working with the mentally challenged for 12 years. She loved her grandkids and spending time with them, and enjoyed camping and fishing. She also enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for family and friends.
