Obituaries

Linda Sue Murphy, 69, of Anmoore, passed away on September 8, 2019 at the United Hospital Center following a battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harry Joseph Murphy.

Surviving Linda are two sons, Joe Murphy and wife Ladonna of Lost Creek, and Jason Murphy of Anmoore; two grandchildren, Amanda Murphy of Lost Creek, and Megan Murphy of Clarksburg; great-granddaughter, Marilynn Cole; sister, Donna Pittillo and husband Chriss of Ohio; four brothers, William Smith and wife Barbara of Tennessee, Carl Smith and wife Pam of North Carolina, Robert Smith and wife Elizabeth of Dry Fork, WV, and Dave Smith of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Murphy was a member of the West Milford Lion’s Club alongside her sisters-in-law; Patrica Blair, Cathy Exline, Theresa Dills and Mary Adkins. She loved going camping, fishing and tending to her garden. She was the caretaker to her husband and loved her family very much. Linda was helpful to everyone and she will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Family and friends may call to the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St., Nutter Fort, WV on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm where services will be held following the visitation hours.

Per her request cremation services will follow.
