Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.   A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm with Reverend Brian Plum officiating.

Lois “Libby” Smith, 90, of West Milford, Departed this life Friday, August 19, 2016 at United Hospital Center.  She was born in Clarksburg on January 25, 1926, to the late Cecil and Lois Ankrom Lynch.  On April 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to the late Roy “Don” Smith, who preceded her in death.  She is survived by one son Robert “Bob” Smith and his wife Karen of Riverdale Road, Clarksburg; one grandson, Robert “Doug” Smith and his wife Sheri of Clemmons, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Dawnetta Thompson and her fiancé Jimmy Brown of Salem; two great grandsons, Troy Thompson and Joe Brown of Salem; one brother Mark Lynch of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Rebecca Richards of Clarksburg; two sisters-in-law, Carol Campbell of West Milford and Kathleen Lynch of Bridgeport;  and several nieces and nephews.  Along with her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lynch and John Lynch;  and two sisters, Joan Burrows and Elenor Thompson.  She was a 1944 graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School. Lois was employed at Monongahela Power and the S&H Green Stamp Store in Nutter Fort with 24 years of service in 1978 as manager.  She was dedicated to the Town of West Milford where her husband was Mayor for 14 years. She was heavily involved in the West Milford Citizens Committee and Homemakers. She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach, camping, crafting and hunting.  She was a Baptist by Faith.  Per her request Lois was cremated.  Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm with Reverend Brian Plum officiating.
