Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Catholic Funeral Rites will be held following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Father Walt Jagela presiding.  Interment will be in the Hunt Cemetery in Calhoun County on Tuesday, March 4th at 12:00 p.m.

Lora Ann Kellar, 59, of Salem, WV, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Parkersburg, WV, on August 27, 1965, to the late Therman and Lita Koon Kellar.

She is survived by two siblings, Barbara Evans of Porter Texas, and Therman Kellar and wife Tammy of Mobile, Alabama; her niece, Destinie Champion and husband Ethan and nephew, Steve Michael Evans.  She is also survived by special people in her life, Deirdre Swisher and her son Camden of Grafton, WV, her best friend, Jim Rogers of Salem, WV, and cousins, Herb Kendall of Clarksburg, and cousins, Kiley, Genna and Tori Wagner of Bridgeport.

She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, Class of 1983 and went on to earn an associate’s degree in criminal justice.  She was the Correctional Facilities Coordinator for the Salem Correctional Center.

Although Lora was Catholic by faith, she enjoyed attending various churches including Salem United Methodist Church.
