June 6, 1923 - April 5, 2018

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Wilfong was cremated.   Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, April 13, 2018 where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am with Reverend Brian Boley officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park.

Lora Jane Wilfong, 94, formerly of Mt. Clare, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born in Clarksburg on June 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Enrico and Permina Blsona Insani.

 

She was married to John Wilfong, who preceded her in death on February 15, 1971. Surviving are one daughter, Sue Ann Broadwater and her husband Gary of Mt. Clare; one son, Jack Edward Wilfong of Myrtle Beach, SC; three granddaughters, Stephanie Workman and her husband Ernie of Richmond, VA, Leigh Ann Ritter and her husband Michael of Clarksburg, and Allison Smith and her husband J.R. of Lost Creek; five great grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Workman, Jeremiah and Madeline Ritter, and Emma Smith; one brother, Carl Insani of Lakeland, FL, and her companion and special friend, Robert Day of Clarksburg. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Clelia M. “Kay” Patsy, Lena Bellotte, Raymond Insani, Lelio Insani, Leon Insani and Robert Insani.

 

Mrs. Wilfong formerly worked at Pettrey’s Shoe Store. She was a very active member of the Quiet Dell United Methodist Church, and participated in many activities at the church including the Women’s Club.

 

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Wilfong was cremated.
