Michael Bart Venettozzi, 70, of Mt. Clare, WV passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

He was born in Altoona, PA on August 14, 1946 a son of the late Bart Guy Venettozzi and Mary Elizabeth Curry Venettozzi.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Jane Leonard Venettozzi whom he married on December 6, 1968 and resides at their home in Mt. Clare. Also surviving are two daughters, Crysta Bourdon and husband Jon of Marietta, OH and Amy Thomsen and husband William “Will” of Mt. Clare, WV; one son, Michael E. Venettozzi and wife Angie of Mt. Clare, WV; 11 grandchildren, Josh, Traci, Brett, Alex, Kensley, Caden, Dane, Olivia, Maria, Felicity and Gabi; one sister, Jane Watson and husband Ron of Mt. Clare, WV and one brother, Danny Venettozzi and wife Ann of Tennessee.

He was a graduate of Lost Creek High School and a sheet metal worker through local #33. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Prayer Vigil will conclude visitation at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 East Pike Street, Clarksburg, WV at 10:00 a.m. with Farther Casey Mahone as celebrant.

Interment will follow at the Venettozzi Family Cemetery, Mt. Clare, WV.
