Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday, January 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 E. Pike Street Clarksburg, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant.   Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Michael Ryan Ferruso, 33, of Morgantown, WV, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 23, 2017, at his residence.

 

Michael was born in Clarksburg, on February 9, 1984, a son of Rodney Michael and Joann L. Rogers Ferruso of Clarksburg.

 

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his sister, Mary Jo Strimer and husband Corey of Morgantown, WV; his loving girlfriend, Samantha Barberio; his uncle and aunt, Jimmie and Cami Rogers and aunt, Diane Fulks.  He is also survived by cousins, Julie Capello and husband Mike, Tony Ferruso, Jenny Ferruso, Nick Ferruso, Joey Rogers and wife Jennifer, Jimmie Rogers and Nicola Rogers.

 

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Ferruso and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Josephine Rogers; and his uncle, John Ferruso, Jr.

 

Michael graduated from Robert C. Byrd High School in 2002 and West Virginia University in 2007.  He was a Financial Advisor and was a partner of Ferruso and Associates.

 

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Morgantown, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, WVU Alumni Association, Leadership Monongalia 2010, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

 

His infectious smile and warm personality could light up a room.  He was a true and loyal friend who will be remembered for his concern for others.  His greatest passions were being with his family, hanging with his friends, spending time with Samantha, and rooting for his Mountaineers. Fuzz, as he was known to many, will always be remembered for his wit, humor, and love for life.
