Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Bryant Bailey officiating.In keeping with her wisher, Millie will be cremated following the service.

Mildred Elaine “Millie” Young, 89, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

 

She was born in Letter Gap, WV on August 31, 1930, a daughter of the late Guy Stanley and Lala Candis Messenger Young.

 

Surviving are one brother, Guy Eldon Young of Salem, Virginia, five nephews, Stanley and Steve Reed, Chris and Scott Young, and Skip Brake; one niece, Marsha Silver and her husband Robert; one God daughter, Lori Stiles and her husband Michael; one God granddaughter, Emma Elaine Stile who was very special to her; and one brother-in-law, Elmer Devon Reed of Beech City, OH.

 

She was also preceded in death by one infant brother, Clinton; two sisters, Oma Young Brake and Eunice Young Reed; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Young.
 

Miss Young was a senior executive secretary with WV Fire and Casualty Company (Celina Group) with 60 years of service. She was a member of the Laurel Park CEOs.

 

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Bryant Bailey officiating.

 

In keeping with her wishes, Millie will be cremated following the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, Millie requested that memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.
