Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Rodney Heckert presiding.   Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Orie Clifton “Sonny” Stutler, Jr., 69, of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Clarksburg.

 

He was born in Clarksburg, on August 30, 1948, a son of the late Orie Clifton, Sr. and Loraine Messino Stutler.

 

On June 9, 1969, he was married to Jacquelin Kay Livesay Stutler, who resides at their home in Mt. Clare.

 

He is also survived by two sons, William Douglas Stutler of Mt. Clare, and Aric Jason Stutler of Salem; two grandchildren, Danielle Stutler and Jordan Stutler; and one stepbrother, Bart Koch and his wife Kathy of Mt. Clare. Also surviving, is his dog, “Lucy”.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Saundra Kay Stutler and half-sister, Patty Stutler.

 

Sonny was a former machinist with Engine Machine Specialties. He was the driver and owner of Lazy 3 Stock Car. He raced at local tracks in Morgantown, Elkins, Tyler County, Interstate, and also raced in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He built numerous engines for local drivers as well.
