Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 am with Reverend Brian Plum officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Ralph L. “Jack” Moore, 93, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 following a brief illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg on September 11, 1924, a son of the late Grant G. and Connie P. Simons Moore.

 

Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice L. Jacob Moore whom he married on November 16, 1947, and who preceded him in death on August 1, 1995; and also his second wife, Collette Moore.

 

Surviving are one son, Alan Moore and his wife Terry of Leicester, NC; one daughter, Beverly Hinerman and her husband Robert of Clarkburg; four grandchildren, Dan Hinerman and his wife Kylene, April Criss and her husband Jeff, James Moore and his wife Carien, and Melissa Conley and her husband Guy; and 10 great grandchildren.

 

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by one son, Wayne Moore; and two brothers, Robert Moore and Kenneth Moore.

 

Jack was a retired glass worker from Fourco Glass with 37 years of service. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where he was also a member of the Men’s Group, a former member of the Sunny Croft Country Club and the Senior Bowling League. Jack was very active all his life, was very independent and never met a stranger. One of his hobbies later in life was making macramé chairs. He took great pride and joy in sharing them with family and friends.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church Outreach Ministries, 390 S. 22nd Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
