Robert Earl Barnett, 49, of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his residence, suddenly.

He was born in Philippi, WV, on October 7, 1968, a son of the late James Edward and Betty Jo Cavallier Barnett.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly Snider Barnett; one son, James Barnett; one daughter, Halayna Barnett, and one stepson, Dominique Cook, all at home. He is also survived by four brothers, Mark Barnett of Clarksburg, William Barnett and wife Tammy of Clarksburg, Paul Barnett of Clarksburg and Thomas John Barnett of Grafton; three sisters, Wendy Nelson and husband Robert of Clarksburg, April Farris of Brownton, WV, and Dorene Barnett of Columbus, OH several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his extended family, Teshia Davis and her three children.

Robert was a 1986 graduate of Phillip Barbour High School, and was a home improvement contractor.

He enjoyed many years coaching baseball, and was an avid Steelers fan and naturally a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Following the visitation Mr. Barnett will be cremated, per his request.
