Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ken Kelley presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.

Robert Stephen “Steve” Harrah, 75, of Clarksburg, departed this life on Monday, October 21, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was born in Clarksburg on October 2, 1949, a son of the late Arven C. Harrah and H. Marie Phillips.
His wife Peggy (Holtz) Harrah of 40 years survives whom he married on November 25, 1983.
They were blessed with two daughters, Ashley Nicole (Harrah) Cayton and husband Michael, Walkersville, Elaina Marie Harrah, Clarksburg, four grandchildren, Gwendalyn, Greyson, Alex, and Hannah Cayton. He is also survived by several cousins.
Steve was a 1967 graduate of Washington Irving High School. He was a terrific bowler and bowled on several leagues in Harrison County. Steve was a long-distance runner in which he ran in multiple 5K and 10 K races. He was a familiar face on the streets of Clarksburg running daily. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and old cars. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a great fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers & Pittsburgh Pirates. Steve was a season ticket holder for WVU Football and Basketball games of which he was in attendance for many games. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races. Steve was employed by Anchor Hocking Glass Factory as hot end Operator for 20 years. He then was employed by the Harrison Co. Board of Education as a custodian at WIMS for 16 years as well as a substitute mail carrier for the Salem Post Office. Steve was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
