Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Reverend Father Patsy Wash as Celebrant.   Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Rosa (Rose) Vespoint Diamond passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.  Rose was born on October 21, 1922 in Clarksburg, the daughter of Guy and Nancy Aiello Vespoint, Sr. of Clarksburg.

 

She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  Her husband, Anthony (Tony) Diamond, whom she married July 2, 1950, preceded her in death on June 29, 1977.

 

Rose is survived by her children and their spouses, Nancy and Gregory Strother of Pineville, NC, Elena and Edward Randolph, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, and Tonie and Mark Richards of Mt. Holly, NC.

 

Her devotion to her family extended to her grandchildren, Matthew G. Strother and his wife Lisa of Raleigh, NC, and Dr. Krista M. Strother and her husband Andrew Dicksey and her great grandchildren, Aislynn Rose and Logan Matthew Strother of Raleigh, NC.

 

Rose was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was past member of the Funeral Choir and Catholic Daughters.  Rose also donated her time to the Mustard Seed Donation Center, and was a past member of the Chestnut Hills Garden Club.

 

Her life was filled with passions; gardening, cooking, and the art of quilting and other needlework.  Her greatest joy was her family, her husband, children and grandchildren, and her extended family.  She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to People’s Hospice, P. O. Box 1680, Clarksburg WV  26302.
