There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Father Akila Rodrigo as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Rosalie Retton Carter, 78, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the United Hospital Center.
She was born in Monongah on March 7, 1940, a daughter of the late Thomas and Joann Conge Retton.
She was married to James Carter, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one sister, Ann Schirripa of Shinnston; several nieces and nephews; and several special friends whom she relied on for her care and wellbeing.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Roman, Joe, John, Sam, Frank, and Tony Retton; and two sisters, Theresa Leonard, and Helen Marchiny
Mrs. Carter was a member of the St. James Catholic Church.
Thanks to the United Hospital Center Staff for her care.
