Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort WV on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Wilson presiding. Interment will follow in the Elkview Masonic Cemetery.

Rose “Beth” Sullivan Gain, 80, of Nutter Fort, WV passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her residence.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on October 5,1943, the daughter of the late George Sullivan and Margaret Dennison Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Keith Gain on May 19, 2012, whom she married on February 14, 1991.
She is survived by four daughters; Becca Sigley, Julie Gain, Annette Lamm and husband Walt and Glenna Gain, one son, Glenn “Bub” Gain, 13 grandchildren; Dalton Sigley and girlfriend Makenzie McIe, Brandon Gettings, Amberle Gain, Laken Lamm, McKenzie Lamm, Zach Freeze and wife Amanda, Jordan Gain, Breonna Dobbs, Gracie Jo Gain, Gavin Gain, Christian Gain, Doug Dutchess and John Beasi whom she considered a grandson and one great grandson, Jack Freeze.
She was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, class of 1961 and attended Fairmont State College where she received her undergraduate degree and then received her master’s degree in counseling and leadership studies from Marshall University. She began working as a social worker and retired in 2017 from the State of West Virginia as a Juvenile Probation Officer.
She attended the Union Mission Church in Nutter Fort.
