Family and friends may call at the Congregational Missionary Church, 8095 Hazelwood Avenue, Stonewood on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Sherman Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens where Mason Graveside Rites will be conducted by Late Lodge No. 63 AF & AM.

Russell Neil Martin, 74, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his residence following a brief illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg on January 21, 1943, the youngest son of the late Willis Martin and Hazel Freeman Martin.

 

He is survived by his wife, Donna Sue Boyles Martin, whom he married on August 31, 1963. Also surviving are two daughters, Kelly Stacks and her husband Warren of Winston Salem, NC, and Debra Ridgway and her husband Ronald of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Kristin, Lauren and Ryan Stacks, and Drew and Allie Ridgway; two brothers, Carl Martin of Stonewood, and Don Martin of Quiet Dell; two sisters, Willa Jean Frazier-Green of Stonewood, and Nina Rhodes and her husband Tom of Clarksburg; one sister-in-law, Dollie Mertz of Exton, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Isaac Ridgway; one brother, Bill Martin; and two sisters, Eva Andrick and Alberta Green.

 

Mr. Martin was a member of Local 152 Plumbers and Pipefitters and was retired from Stuart McMunn with 41 years of service. He was a member of Late Lodge No. 63 AF & AM, a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Nemesis Shrine of Parkersburg and the Central WV Corvette Unit.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to CMC Youth Group/Camp Fund, 8095 Hazelwood Avenue, Stonewood, WV  26301.
