Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bonnie Starkey presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Ruth Irene Boram Norris, 90, of Clarksburg, WV, departed this life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 9:44 a.m. at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Being a lifelong resident of Clarksburg, she was born February 25, 1927 a daughter of the late Grant Mason Boram and Belle Dunlap Boram.

 

On February 16, 1952, she married her beloved husband Cline Norris, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2000.

Mrs. Norris is survived by one son, Harold Lee Norris and wife Sara of Nutter Fort; two granddaughters, Leann Norris and Lori Norris both of Nutter Fort; one brother, Harold Mason Boram and wife Naoma of Wheeling, WV; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Boram Stanley.

 

Ruth was a graduate of Washington Irving High School Class of 1945.  After graduation from high school, she worked at McCroy’s and Hazel Atlas, and then became a homemaker and dedicated to her family.

 

She was a member of the Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Methodist Women’s Group. She also attended the First Presbyterian Church occasionally.

 

Her joy was traveling and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed reading, especially the “Bible”.   Ruth enjoyed walking and talking with friends. She sewed, crocheted, and worked puzzle books.

Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
