Sandy “Bud” DeMark Jr., 79, of Nutter Fort, passed away on April 24, 2020 at his residence.

 

Mr. DeMark was born on July 5, 1940 in Stonewood, WV, a son of the late Sandy DeMark Sr. and Lorraine Wilson DeMark.

 

He is survived by his wife Linda Fowler DeMark who he married on October 14, 1960.

 

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Sandra DeMark of Stonewood; two sons, Joe DeMark of Nutter Fort and Greg DeMark of Stonewood; two grandchildren, Jessica Hall of Oklahoma and Michelle Williams of Stonewood; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Hall of Oklahoma; sister, Karen Sue Cooper of North Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Bud was a graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson High School Class of 1959. He worked for several years at the family business, Sandy’s Hardware. He retired from WV Department of Highways with seventeen years of service as a truck driver. He also retired from Nutter Fort Fire Department where he served as fire chief and assistant fire chief.

 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Catherine Olsheske and Dorothy “Dottie” McClain.

 

In lieu of flowers the family of Mr. DeMark request donations be made in his honor to the Nutter Fort Fire Department, 1415 Buckhannon Pike, Clarksburg, WV 26301.

 

A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
