Sharon Kay Evans Wilhelm, 69, of Shinnston, WV, passed away on November 24, 2016, at her residence following a brief illness.

 

She was born in Portland, Oregon on April 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Lowell W. Evans and Maxine M. Clouse Evans.

 

She is survived by her previous husband, Kenneth Wilhelm; two sons, Shane Wilhelm of Mt. Clare and Jason Wilhelm and his wife Katie of Zanesville, OH; one daughter, Mendi Wentz and husband Kevin of Wilsonburg; seven grandchildren, Lisa Marple, Joshua Dutchess, Shane Michael Wilhelm, Zachary Wilhelm, Kason Wilhelm, Aiden Wilhelm and Alexis Wilhelm; six great grandchildren, David Lee Marple II, Leaunna Dutchess, Aadyn Marple, Keegan Dutchess, Emma Wilhelm and Julianna Wilhelm. She is also survived by two brothers, Bill Evans and wife Cheryl, and Rex Evans all of Merritt Island, FL; two sisters, Carole Evans of Portland, OR, and Rita Gallimore and husband Joe of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sharon is also survived by her devoted friend and buddy, her cat, “Katy”.

 

Sharon attended the Duff Street United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

 

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

 

Per her request, following the visitation, she will be cremated.
