Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will follow in the Hardman Cemetery.

Shirley Ann Crock, age 69, of Wallace, WV, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at the United Hospital Center, following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, on December 16, 1949, a daughter of the late Alfred and Betty Watson Dodd.

 

Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years, David L. Crock.

 

Also surviving are one daughter, Lisa Crock of Wallace; one grandchild, Araya Crock; three brothers, Roger Dodd Bristol, Larry Dodd and wife Becky of Hepzibah and Leon Dodd of Clarksburg; two sisters, Diane Griffith and husband Roy of Shinnston, and Freda Casto and husband George of Wilsonburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, D.J. Crock; two grandchildren, Hannah and Josh Crock; and two brothers, Robert and Alfred Dodd.

 

Shirley was a Nurses Aide and caregiver at Hartland Nursing home and retired from the Harrison County Board of Education as a teacher’s aide.  Shirley was Baptist by faith and enjoyed vacations with her family.

Interment will follow in the Hardman Cemetery.
