Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday, from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m.   The service will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Kenny Kendell presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Terry Joseph Greaver, Sr. 64, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg, on December 2, 1953, a son of the late Carl and Dorothy Kerere Greaver.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Lynn Johnson Greaver, whom he married on March 11, 1972.

 

He is also survived by one son, Terry Joseph “TJ” Greaver and his wife Jennifer Yoders Greaver of Liberty Addition, three daughters, Lisa Greaver Marsh and husband Jimmy of Clarksburg, Melissa Greaver Wilfong and husband Alan of Grafton, and Kaysee Greaver of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Terijen Joseph Greaver, Ali Marie Wilfong, Caleb Alexander Wilfong and Seth Alan Wilfong; two brothers, Bill Greaver and wife Joanne of Adamston, John Greaver and wife   Joyce of Bridgeport; one sister, Sandra Frum and husband Tom of Hepzibah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one half-brother, Tom Greaver and two half-sisters, Phyliss and Barbara Greaver.

 

Terry was a member of the North View United Methodist Church and served on several church committees. He was a graduate of Victory High School, and a retired Driver with West Virginia Beer Distributors.  He formerly drove for Coca Cola Bottling Company.

 

Terry was a former Clarksburg City Council Member and former Mayor and Vice Mayor of Clarksburg.  He was a member of the Municipal League of Cities, and Vice President of the State Municipal League of Cities.  He was also a member of the North View Lion’s Club.  Terry coached youth sports in the Clarksburg Central Little League and Jerry West Basketball League. He served on the Board of the WV Italian Heritage Festival and former Board of the Central WV Transit Authority.

 

Terry was very active serving in his community, and was a very family oriented man as he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren who were his life. He will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
