Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. With Reverend Brian Plum officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens where full military graveside rites will be accorded.

Thomas Charles Morrison, 80, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Clarksburg on August 21, 1937, a son of the late Howard Leonard and Hazel Marie Diamond Morrison.

 

He was married to Lois Lorraine Layfield Morrison on August 18, 1958, who preceded him in death on June 12, 2012.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Kay Morrison Westbrook of Mt. Clare, and Tommi Lanette Morrison of North View; five grandchildren, Thomas Charles Westbrook, Jordan Renee Morrison, David Mark Anderson, Jacob Skylar Dodd and Bayli Rose Dodd; two great grandchildren, Evelyn Faye Westbrook, Wyatt Carder Dodd, and one great granddaughter due in January; one sister, Ruth Shears; and his companion, Lorretta Steele. He was also preceded in death by one daughter Kimberly Renee Anderson; and one sister, Joann Davis.

 

Mr. Morrison was a United States Navy Veteran having served from 1955 through 1958, and was a retired roofer, truck driver and crane operator having worked with Sutter Roofing for over 30 years. Tom enjoyed fishing and attended the Calvary United Methodist Church.
