Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside committal will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, in the WV National Cemetery at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Marino officiating.

Tina DeNese Kovar Owens, 67, of Salem, WV, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Tina was born on April 17, 1956, a daughter of the late John and Edith Carson Kovar.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Master Sgt. Daniel Alan Owens, whom she wed on March 24, 1973.

She is survived by her son, William Owens and his wife Brandy of Wyatt; two daughters, Melissa Jenkins and her husband Jeffrey of Summit Park and JoAnn McCloy and her husband Chad of Jarvisville; grandchildren, Rachel Carder and her husband Dylan of Fairmont, Johnathan Owens and his companion Emily of Wyatt, Joseph Owens and his companion Madi of Shinnston, Joshua Owens of Wyatt, Bella Owens of Wyatt, Holden Owens of Wyatt, Danielle Jenkins and her companion Alyssa of Clarksburg, Jessica Jenkins and her companion Joel of Clarksburg, Tiffany Jenkins and her companion Josh of Hepzibah, Marisa Jenkins and her companion Clinton of Clarksburg, Hunter Kennedy and his companion Raeanna of Clarksburg, Makaila Cabell and her husband Jeremy of Clarksburg, Kammi Russell and her husband Logan of Clarksburg, Edi Jo Bennett of Jarvisville and Brooklyn McCloy of Clarksburg; eight great-grandchildren with three on the way; siblings, Glenda Neel of Mannington, Francis Rexroad of West Milford, John Kovar of Jarvisville, Josie Bennett and husband Benny of Jarvisville, Doug Kovar and wife Dana of West Milford and Karla Kovar and husband Jamie of Good Hope; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, William A. Owens.

Mrs. Owens dedicated her life to being a wife and raising her family. In her free time, she enjoyed playing poker, cards and bingo. Her happiest of times were those spent with her family.
