A gathering of family and friends will be at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerome Lewis presiding.

Diane Hyde, 68, of Lost Creek, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Central Station, Doddridge County, WV on September 21, 1949 to the late Cullis Hartman and Lilly Violet Shepard.

 

Diane is survived by the father of her children, Clyde Edward Hyde, three daughters, Deena Dawn Scranage and husband David of Lost Creek, Angela Lynn Stout and husband Robert of West Milford, and Trecia Michelle Hyde of Lost Creek; four grandchildren, Jeanie Diane Ward-Poe, Clyde David Scranage, Veronica Rose Williams and Cade Ethan McCullough; four great grandchildren, Amberley Faith Ward, Trenton Michael Ward, Brooksley West Ward, and Starr Aurora Williams. Also surviving are two brothers, Cullis Eugene Hartman and Michael Vaughn Hartman; one sister, Janet Hartman Mossor as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jackie Michelle Ward, and two sisters, Shelley Smith and Ronna Lipscomb.

 

Diane was a graduate of Doddridge County High School and formerly was the front desk manager for Plantation Inn.

 

She attended the Church of God, was an avid reader and loved talking on the phone anytime of the day or night.

 

Per her request she will be cremated.
