Virginia F. Folio, 103, of Stonewood, passed away on Thursday April 16, 2020.

 

She was born in Wilsonburg, WV on October 16, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Finita Folio.

 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

She was also proceeded in death by her siblings; Frank, Rose, Russell, Sue, John, and Joe Folio along with Mildred Folio Terango, Martha Folio Spagnuolo, and most recently her younger sister Marie Folio who passed away in July of last year.

 

Virginia cared for many in her life but most importantly, ensured that her three sisters Mildred Terango, Rose Folio, and Marie Folio had the best of care until they departed this world and entered into their eternal life.

 

Virginia retired in 1979 from BF Goodrich which was located on 7th Street in Clarksburg where she served as finance manager. Additionally, her long list of employment included Montgomery Ward’s on Main Street in Clarksburg, and assisting her sisters Susan & Rose in their family business; a small grocery store owned & operated out of their home in Stonewood until 1973.

 

Virginia was a lifelong member of Saint Bridget’s & Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood, where she volunteered her time as the bookkeeper and treasurer for many years.

 

Virginia loved helping and taking care of people her entire life and especially enjoyed the company of her many nieces & nephews and great neighbors and friends.

 

Private services were held by the family with the interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
