Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will conclude visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Keith Swiger presiding. Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Virginia Pearl Sears, 102, of Clarksburg, WV, North View Community, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the residence of her daughter in Montrose, WV following a brief illness.
She was born in Richwood, WV on April 13, 1914 a daughter of the late George Elbert Malcolm and Eliza Jane Rogers Malcom.
Her husband, Edward “Ed” Sears, preceded her in death on April 2, 1978.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sears of Clarksburg, WV and Linda Sole of Montrose, WV, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacqueline McLaughlin, one grandson, one great grandson, five brothers and four sisters.
She worked in housekeeping for St. Mary’s Hospital and retired in 1973 with 18 years of service.
