Wesley William Darius Hood, 54, of Magnolia Avenue, Clarksburg passed away suddenly on Monday, June 24, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Clarksburg on February 28, 1970, a son of the late Wesley W. Hood and Patricia Helmich Longwell who survives in Clarksburg with her husband Roger.

He is survived by his wife, Trina Jo Gabbert Hood, whom he married on October 7, 1994.

Also surviving are four sons, Wesley William Darius Hood, II and his wife Ashley Metheney of Clarksburg, Justin C. Marsh and his wife Chanda of Clarksburg, Daniel D. Hood of Clarksburg and Nicholas B. Hood and his fiancé Kara Rowlands of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Wesley Chosen Hood, III, Renlea K. Hood, Khloe Marsh, Raelynn Marsh, Amaya Marsh and McKenna Grace Murphy; two sisters, Marianne Helm and her husband Marcus of Clarksburg and Melisha Thacker and her husband James of Clarksburg; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers.

Wesley was a 1988 graduate of Washington Irving High School and graduated from Fairmont State Aviation School. He was also a United States Marine veteran. Wesley was a family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and going to his cabin and was a selfless, giving person to those who knew him.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10:00 am with Pastor Fred Hawkins officiating. Interment will be in the Hall Cemetery in Dola, WV.
