Obituaries

Willa Jean “Jean” Karakiozis, 89, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on
Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Tygart Health Center in Fairmont
following an extended illness.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on August 19, 1928 the daughter of the
late George Karakiozis and Wilma Carpenter Karakiozis.
She is survived by two brothers, John Karakiozis and wife Eva of
Summit Park and Tony Karakiozis and wife Carmella of Bridgeport; two
sisters, Angeline Filippine of Bridgeport and Mary Rose Sipko of
Clarksburg as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews.
Willa was a bookkeeper and office manager for United Hospital Center.
Per her request she will be cremated and there will be no public
visitation or service. A private graveside service will be held at
Bridgeport Cemetery.
