William “Scott” Plaugher, 62, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on March 28, 1962, a son of the late Harold A. and Velma E. Garrett Plaugher.

He was married on February 14, 1981, to his wife of nearly 44 years, Beverly Six Plaugher, who resides at their home in Clarksburg.

Also surviving Scott are his four children, Racheal Plaugher, Mindy Bonnett and husband Aaron, Stephanie Plaugher, and Aimee Plaugher; five grandchildren, Haley Westfall and fiancé Scotty, Josh Plaugher, Jacob Selmon, Isaac Bonnett, and Kylee “Ebay” Plaugher. He leaves behind his siblings, Rodney Plaugher and wife Trudy, Rhonda Zirkle and husband Ted, Harold “Lynn” Plaugher, Cindy Hart and husband Mike, and Sheri Kennedy and husband Mark, as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by “his bodyguards” his dogs, Alex and Willow.

Scott worked for City Window for over 20 years in construction. He loved metal detecting and camping. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept his family on their toes. Scott loved fishing and was affectionately known as “Bert” “Baldy” and “Pap”. He was “Pap” to most everyone.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Harrison County E.M.S.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amos Carvelli Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
