Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   The service will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ronnie Beason presiding.   Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wilma Belle Duty, 84, of Lost Creek, WV, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, at her residence, following an extended illness.

 

She was born on July 5, 1933, in Alma WV, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Hazel Coleman Wright.

 

Her husband, A. Mark Duty, whom she married on December 4, 1954, preceded her in death on December 7, 1998.

 

Mrs. Duty is survived by one son, Mark Duty of Rockford; two daughters, Kathryn Goldsmith and husband Darrell of Lost Creek, and Janet Rowe and husband Robert of Johnstown; one son-in-law, Randy Morrison of Jane Lew; eight grandchildren, Jason Goldsmith, Breanne Davis, Robert Morrison, Elaina Morrison, Amanda Morrison Hitt, Jessica Rowe, Amber Rowe Campbell, and Mark Duty II; five great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by two brothers, Darrel Wright and wife Kathy of New Martinsville, C. Gene Wright and wife Joyce of Fairmont; two sisters, Velma Wilcox of Pine Grove, and Vera Boley of LaGrange, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjory Morrison; and two sisters, Phyllis Spencer and Edith Anderson.

 

Wilma was a graduate of Tyler County High School Class of 1951, and a member of Stealey Assembly of God Church.   She retired from the Land and Leasing Department of CNG Transmission with 17 years of service.
