Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 10:00 am with Pastor Sarah Allen officiating. In keeping with her wishes, Freda will be cremated following the service.

Freda Mae Dodd Casto, 66, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at her residence.
She was born in Clarksburg on August 12, 1959, a daughter of the late Alfred and Betty Watson Dodd.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, George Casto, whom she married on April 28, 1978.
Also surviving are one son, George Casto, Jr. and his wife Samantha of Clarksburg; one daughter, Amanda Folmsbee and her husband Steve of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Miranda Folmsbee of North Carolina, Tyler Folmsbee of Clarksburg, George Casto, III of Clarksburg and Jake Casto of Clarksburg; one brother, Roger Dodd or Marshville; several nieces and nephews; and her Teacup Yorkie, Rocket.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Diane Griffith, Alfred Dodd, Robert Dodd, Shirley Crock, Larry Dodd and Leon Dodd.
Freda was the assistant manager at 7-11 and was a caregiver for the Harrison County Senior Center. She loved to play bingo and cards and travel to the beach and Pigeon Forge. Freda enjoyed watching her grandkids at their dirt track races and spending time with her family.
