Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Thursday, August 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 9254 Cost Avenue, Stonewood, on Friday, August 16, 2019 where she will lie in one hour prior to service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard Settles presiding.

Dian Elaine Wiseman, 67, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at her home following an extended illness.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on October 7, 1951, a daughter of the late King Ferd Ett and Icie Victoria Michaels Huffman.

 

On August 8, 1970, Dian was married to her husband, Harry Lewis Wiseman, who resides at their home in Bridgeport.

 

Also surviving are her sons, Harry L. Wiseman II and his companion Torie of Phillippi, and Joseph Boyd Wiseman of Bridgeport; stepson, Roger Quinn of Shinnston; her daughter, Elizabeth Shahan and husband William of Quiet Dell; stepdaughter, Melina Shotnik and husband Paul of Germany; four grandchildren, Morgan Brock, Zachary Wiseman, Vickie Wiseman, Abigayle Shahan; and one great-granddaughter, Jessa Cole.  She also is survived by one brother, Bill Michaels and wife Sue of Buckhannon, one sister, Donna Hattaway and husband Wayne of Lake City, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Dian was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Roach and Marjorie Vesely.

 

Dian was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, and United Technical Center where she received her C.N.A. She formerly worked at Brockway/Anchor Hocking Glass Company, and later was employed at Bridgeport Chiropractic with Dr. Bill McCray.

 

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Stonewood and was involved with the women’s group.  She loved going shopping, traveling, eating out, and playing Bingo, but above all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
