My mother, Mabel Knight Wagner , daughter of Smith Knight, was a cousin to Turtle. Growing up I remember all the stories she and uncle Louie told about how ornery those boys were. Then as I grew up and moved to clarksburg I had the opportunity to get to know Turtle and Mikey. I have to say there was never a dull moment around them. I’m sorry for your loss but you have many many good memories. The world lost a good decent, kind man.

Ralph owned the 1955 Chevrolet before Turtle. I lived in North View for the first 20 years of my life. I have known Turtle and his family for 70 years. My mom was Frankie Tetrick who lived on the corner of Franklin and 16th St.

I have great memories of Uncle Turtle from when I was young. He was always nice to us kids and he was funny. I heard what a great dad and grandpa he was over the years, being devoted and generous. I am so sorry for all your loss my cousins. I am sending hugs and prayers and love. Through you all his legacy lives on and, we have the hope of seeing him again, in heaven! Sincerely, Robin

Rhonda, Tammy and Mickey, so sad to hear of Turtle's passing. A great guy and friend off the family. My mom loved it when he would stop by and talk with us...he loved razzing her. He will be missed. RIP my friend.

I have been neighbors with Turtle for 15 years and he has always been friendly and welcoming. He would often stop for a quick chat as he passed by on his morning walks. When I first moved here he said he was glad Mike finally found someone to straighten him out. I will miss seeing his friendly face. So sorry for your loss.

Mickey and all of Turtle's family, I have known Turtle all my life. A North View girl, I graduated with Hubba and am still good friends with Peggy. Mickey, you helped my husband, Bunie Harper, many times with his surveying business. Hubba and Peggy lived next door to my parents, Paul and Mildred Brown, on Hamill Ave. for many years. Hubba always looked out for my parents. As you can tell, my memories of the Knight family go way back. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. With love and memories, Evelyn
